From your coins to your address
BayChange swaps one coin for another without an account. Here's what happens at each step, how long it takes and what to do if something goes wrong.
The swap, step by step
Choose coins and amount
Pick what you send and what you get, and enter the amount. The quote shows the rate, our fee and how much you'll receive, with network costs already included.
Add your addresses
Paste the address that should receive the coins. Add a refund address too: if the swap can't complete, the coins go back there. We check both addresses before we go on.
Send the exact amount
You get a one-time deposit address, a QR code and the exact amount to send. Send from any wallet or from an exchange withdrawal. The address works for a limited time, shown on your order page.
The swap runs
Once your deposit is confirmed on its network, the swap protocol exchanges it at the market rate. Your order page shows each step as it happens.
Coins arrive
The protocol sends the coins to your address. The order page shows the transaction link, so you can check it in a block explorer.
What is a network?
A network is the blockchain a coin moves on. Some coins, like Bitcoin, have one network. Others, like USDT, exist on several networks at once: USDT on Tron is called TRC-20, and USDT on Ethereum is called ERC-20.
It's the same coin, but each version can only be sent on its own network. That's why every coin in our form shows its network.
Two rules that keep your coins safe
- Pick the network your receiving wallet or exchange supports. When in doubt, check the deposit page of that wallet or exchange.
- When you send, choose the same network as your deposit address. Coins sent on a different network can be lost.
| Coin | Networks |

| ETH |

| USDC |

Moving a coin to another network is a swap too. For example, send USDT on Ethereum and get USDT on Tron.
Sending from an exchange
You can pay for a swap straight from an exchange withdrawal. The steps are the same on most exchanges:
- Open Withdraw (sometimes called Send) and choose the coin.
- Choose the network that matches your deposit address, for example TRC-20 for USDT on Tron.
- Paste the deposit address. Check the first and last few characters.
- Enter the amount. If the exchange takes its fee out of this amount, add the fee on top so the right amount arrives.
- Confirm the withdrawal. Some exchanges hold withdrawals for a review, which can add time.
Use your own wallet as the refund address, not an exchange deposit address. Exchanges don't always credit coins sent back from an address they don't know.
How long it takes
Most of the time is spent waiting for your deposit to be confirmed on its network. The swap and the payout usually take a few minutes after that.
- From Tron, Ethereum, Arbitrum or Solana
- usually 3–10 min
- From Bitcoin
- usually 15–30 min
- Withdrawal from an exchange
- plus the exchange's own wait
These are typical times, not promises. Your quote shows an estimate for your pair, and a busy network can be slower.
Refunds
A swap is refunded when it can't complete. That can happen if:
- the market rate moves past the minimum shown in your quote before the swap runs;
- the deposit doesn't pass the protocol's checks;
- the pair is paused for a short time, for example during network maintenance.
Refunds go to the refund address you gave, in the coin you sent, minus the network cost of sending them back. We can't send them anywhere else, so check the refund address before you start.
Deposits below the minimum can't be swapped or returned. The minimum is shown in the form and on your order page.
How we check addresses
Before we create a deposit address, we check your receiving address and your refund address against public sanctions lists, such as the US OFAC list, and against the blocklists that stablecoin issuers keep.
The check takes a second and needs nothing from you. If an address is on a list, we can't create the order and we'll tell you so in the form.
The swap protocol also checks deposits on its side. A deposit that doesn't pass its checks is returned to your refund address.
Read our AML and sanctions policyYour coins never pass through our wallets.
Every swap runs on a decentralized cross-chain swap protocol. Your coins go to a one-time address created for your order, and the protocol sends the result straight to your address. They never pass through a BayChange wallet.
- One-time deposit addressCreated for each order. It's only for your swap.
- Refund address set firstIf the swap can't complete, the coins go back to the address you chose.
- Fee inside the quoteOur fee is part of the swap. Nothing is added after you send.
